The Karnataka coastline — from Mangalore to Kundapura — has been processing cashews for over a hundred years. Mangalore Cashew Industries was founded here in 1979 by Sri D. Gopalakrishna Kamath and Sri D. Manjunath Kamath.
With five decades of experience in cashew trading and processing, the partners built a facility grounded in two beliefs: that quality control is the only way to hold international buyers, and that a stable local workforce is the only way to sustain quality. Both remain true today.

This is not incidental. Women in coastal Karnataka have centuries of experience grading and hand-processing cashews. The processing facility at Siddapur-576229 runs raw cashew nut intake, steam-shelling, peeling, grading, moisture control, vacuum-packing and cold storage under one roof.
01Raw nut sourcing
Raw cashew nuts (RCN) sourced from Karnataka, Kerala and partner farms in East Africa — incoming lots tested for moisture, shell fill and aflatoxin before acceptance.
02Processing & peeling
Steam-shelling, centrifugal peeling and hand-finishing. Each stage is monitored against our ISO 22000 food safety plan — the same plan our Japanese and EU buyers audit.
03Grading & sorting
Size and colour grading by trained sorters. W180, W210, W240, W320, W450, SW and piece grades segregated and lot-coded for traceability.
04Packing & cold storage
Vacuum-sealed in food-grade inner packs, packed into cartons or drums. Cold storage maintains kernel quality between packing and dispatch. FOB Mangalore or Cochin.
